Moving to catriana.com (Effective January, 2007) - With extremely inflated costs imposed upon this site the last few
months, we have decided to merge our alliance. These costs incurred emerge directly out-of-pocket, as we make no profit
from running this site, nor have we ever reimbursed ourselves for administrative costs.

A tech' recommended I merge our alliance a couple of years back, to aid in additional searches for this and our other artist
site, since both are art-related. However, I simply never wanted to combine the two. Now I'm reconsidering. For just a few
dollars more per year, we can help correct the disfigurement of a child's face through low-cost surgery, or provide vital
supplies to a needy rescue shelter, among other things... With this new mind-set, we are going to attempt this move for
awhile, and, hopefully, the two sites combined will harmonize with one not overpowering the other―especially in terms of
necessary searching conducted by numerous individuals.

Please bear with us as we make these conversions. We truly appreciate all the love & support from everyone and hope you
continue to pass on our information through exposure and compassion. THANK YOU!
Christine Horrocks - Thank you to this Canadian artist for her support of our
mission. Christine has been spreading the word about us to family and friends
and even took it upon herself to quote many of our beliefs, pleas and stances
into daily e-mails she sends out to others. The only way any of us will ever
conquer the horrific acts that continue to maim and enslave our "innocent &
defenseless" creatures is through continuous exposure, education, awareness
and action. Thank you to artists like Christine who realize the importance of this
and make the effort and take the time to educate others.

ARTIST RESCUES HUMMINGBIRD - Denver artist & contributor to ARTIST-ANIMAL ALLIANCE™, Jared Ray, was able to
persuade this frightened little creature to perch itself on a floral branch, removing it from its anguish in a very unfamiliar
place. Beating itself repeatedly against lofty windows, Jared was finally able to capture its stillness long enough to bring it
back outdoors and release it where it belongs: free to soar - or flutter, in this case - in the graces of what we affectionately
call, nature. Jared is definitely everyone's hero around here!

THE NATIONAL MARFAN FOUNDATION - ARTIST-ANIMAL ALLIANCE™ is pleased to announce we will be supporting this
cause, March 19th, 2005, via silent auction held in Ft. Collins, Colorado. The National Marfan Foundation is dedicated to
saving lives, and improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by the Marfan syndrome and related
disorders.

While the Marfan syndrome is a lifelong disorder that is chronic and often progressive, the outlook has improved in recent
years. Early diagnosis and advances in medical technology have enhanced the quality of life for people with the Marfan
syndrome and lengthened their lifespan. In addition, early identification of risk factors (such as aortic dilation) allows doctors
to intervene and prevent or delay complications. Advances being made by researchers provide hope for the future. With
early diagnosis and appropriate management, the life expectancy for someone with the Marfan syndrome is similar to that of
the average person.
